What do you know about Earth Day

Earth Day is an annual event on April 22 to demonstrate support for environmental protection. First held on April 22, 1970, it now includes a wide range of events coordinated globally by Earth Day.org (formerly Earth Day Network)including 1 billion people in more than 193 countries.

How does ebike benefit environment?

Riding a bike is not only a great way to improve your physical and mental health, but also the health of the planet! Here are some of the ways you'll be helping the environment just by replacing a few car trips with bike rides.

1)No Gas, No Pollution

By not using any gas, bikes don't release harmful emissions that pollute the atmosphere, nor any carbon dioxide that contributes to climate change. Just moderate increases in bicycle use each year could save an estimated 6 to 14 million tons of CO2.

2)Noise Is Also Pollution

We rarely think of noise pollution when it comes to cars, that is unless you live by a busy street. Swapping bike rides for drives will make your neighborhood quieter to everyone's benefit. In addition, people living in urban places know how tough it can be to hear noise from traffic the early morning. You can’t get a good night’s sleep.

3)More green terrains.

If the number of cars on the road continues to increase, then we will have to develop new roads. Of course, it is the green areas that will suffer the most in those cases. Why would we replace beautiful parks with streets? If we all start riding a bike, there will be many more green terrains.

4)No Nonrenewable Fuels Burned

Did you know that, in 2019 alone, the United States consumed around 20.5 million barrels of oil per day? The two most common types of oil used are – diesel and gas. Can you even imagine the amount of oil we spend per day now? Fortunately, bike riders make a great contribution to the reduction of petroleum consumption. Logically, the entire planet Earth would benefit from this.

But most importantly, biking around our neighborhoods gives us a greater appreciation for the surrounding natural beauty. By choosing to bike this Friday, you are embracing the outdoors this weekend, cementing an appreciation for the environment, all the while bettering your own health. Let’s protect the pretty earth and enjoy the earth day!
